At the river side 牛淵 Ushifuchi in Koyashiro 古谷城 there was a deep hole where the water whirled around.
From the riverbank the sound of ゴーンゴーン gooon goon was heard.
People said inside was a golden bull.
Therefore at Koyashiro they to not keep bulls or horses.
The Ushifuchi is used for amagoi 雨乞い rain rituals.

During the construction of Shitennoji temple, ox carts were used to transport the stones. When the construction was finished, one bull turned into a stone.
He is now venerated at 石神の祠 a small Ishigami Shrine, Ishigami Do 石神堂.
